12. FAQ

How does TripSaver help me save?

TripSaver monitors your hotel alerts for price drops and automatically notifies you when there’s a savings opportunity of $15 or more. You can set up alerts for any hotel, and we'll track the price in real-time to help you save effortlessly. We currently monitor hotel prices only on Booking.com but plan to expand to more platforms in the future.

Is it a must to have a booking to use TripSaver?

No, you don’t need an existing booking to use TripSaver. You can either submit a booking confirmation to us via email or fill out a form to use our service for price monitoring. Your first money-saving alert is always free. However, you must have at least 5 credits in your account for us to continue monitoring prices and sending alerts, even if the savings are under $15.

What if my booking is non-refundable?

For bookings made with Booking.com, they offer a price match guarantee. If you find a cheaper price for the same booking, they’ll refund you the difference—just provide proof. With TripSaver, monitoring prices is easy. Simply take a screenshot from the email we send you, along with the lower price on Booking.com, and submit it to them for your refund. We are also working on automating this process in the future to make it even easier. Read more on their website.

Is TripSaver free to use?

TripSaver is free to use for your first money-saving alert. After that, free alerts are available for savings under $15. However, you will need to maintain at least 5 credits in your account for us to continue monitoring and sending alerts. If we find a price drop that saves you $15 or more, it will cost 5 credits per paid alert.

How does TripSaver’s pricing model work?

TripSaver operates on a credit-based system. You receive 5 free credits when you sign up. Each unique savings alert that saves you $15 or more costs 5 credits. Free alerts are available for savings under $15, but you must maintain at least 5 credits for us to continue monitoring your booking. You’ll only pay when we save you $15+ on a paid alert.

What happens if TripSaver doesn't find savings of $15 or more?

If TripSaver doesn’t find a price drop that saves you $15 or more, you won’t be charged. However, you need at least 5 credits in your account for us to continue monitoring prices, including any potential free alerts for savings under $15.

What if I run out of credits?

If you run out of credits, you can purchase additional credits through your account. Credits are sold in bundles, and 5 credits are required for each paid savings alert. You'll need to maintain at least 5 credits in your account for us to continue monitoring and providing alerts, including free alerts for savings under $15.

What if there was a mistake or issue with my credits?

If you believe your credits were charged by mistake or there was an issue, you can always contact us via live chat. We respond quickly and are committed to resolving any issues you encounter, as our customers are our top priority.

How can I track my credit usage?

We are very transparent about the credits charged. Each customer has access to their credit history, where you can see how many credits you’ve purchased, when you were charged, and for which alerts. This way, you can always keep track of your credit usage with full clarity.

Is my data safe with TripSaver?

Absolutely. We take your data security seriously. TripSaver uses encryption technology to ensure your information is protected. We only access the necessary details to monitor price drops, ensuring your privacy and security are always maintained.

Which email providers can I use with TripSaver?

You can forward your booking confirmations from any email provider or manually submit your booking details via our submission form. This flexibility ensures you can use TripSaver regardless of your email provider.

Does TripSaver have full access to my email account?
